“These companies have distinguished themselves for their extensive and successful efforts to generate awareness for their stocks within the investment community,” said Paul Marino, President, Investor Awareness Index, Inc. “Without broad awareness for a stock, even the best performing companies can be undervalued. A commitment to actively reaching out to the investment community, combined with solid financial results, generally bodes well for stock performance. The highest scoring companies in the Index have clearly demonstrated a commitment to ensuring that the investment community is well aware of their financial performance and opportunities for future growth.”
The Investor Awareness Index scores companies on a variety of criteria, including the following attributes:
• Level of institutional ownership
• Sell-side analyst coverage
• Quality and quantity of media coverage
• Participation in investor conferences
• Employment of an investor relations or corporate communications officer (or an outside agency) whose responsibility is to interact with the investment community
